Revealed - An Upclose Look at some Classic Plateau Styles

Proving yet again that the Fashion Plateau is THE place for exclusive scoops we are proud to show photo documents which give us an upclose look at Lord Roxton's and Miss Krux' wardrobe. These are photos of the ORIGINAL clothes. We know the excitement this article will cause. We can hardly contain our excitement and we are seasoned pros.
How we did it? The usual... be at the right place at the right time, network with people in the know, bribe people who have influence. In short - we got the photos from the Zanga Mall dry cleaning establishment.

A Catseye exclusive - One of Miss Krux's camisoles

A feminine look that has proven surprisingly durable in a hostile environment

A new reporter who has joined our regular staff, Catseye, has gone through an amazing ordeal to bring us the photo material. Not only did she show a persuasiveness that is worthy of Miss Krux when she talked the dry cleaner into letting her take the pictures, she also fought off barbarians, amazons, and a pack of bad-tempered raptors on her way back from the Plateau. Yes, our reporters are true heroes. Especially considering that they all have day jobs, since we stay true to our policy never to pay our staff. The honor to be part of this now legendary endeavor has to be enough!

Thanks to Catseye-another look at an undergarment

Miss Krux may have only eyes for Lord Roxton, but she likes variety in underwear

Catseye's interview with the dry cleaner provided the following information.

Marguerite Krux has two styles of camisoles she favors:

The first style is a thin strapped, boned camisole with underwire support, which hooks in the back. The model is white with a charming lace overlay that is accented with pale peach flowers.  The camisole is double-layered.

The second style is a non-boned camisole that hooks in front.  It is white with a lace and ribbon overlay (see up close detailed picture) and is double-layered.

The dry cleaner pointed out that he has a special technique to remove stains, e. g. blood or dirt. He insists that this technique has been handed down in his family for decades and that he didn't need any fancy inventions of Professor Challenger to satisfy his customers. Further investigation into this matter pending.

Catseye has more - Marguerite's hat

Chic and durable, form and function in perfect harmony

The Zanga Mall dry cleaner is also taking care of the explorers' fetching head gear. As you can see in this before and after photo Miss Krux's hat has to endure some tough times, but after a day at the dry cleaner it's as good as new.
Catseye pointed out to us that the hat is not black, as some style columnist have written, but rather a dark brown.

Lord Roxton's hat

One of several models he took on the expedition - he tends to loose his hats frequently

Catseye described Roxton's hat as a very attractive model (was she really talking about the hat we wondered...), the color is a dark, brownish-khaki with a wide pale khaki ribbon.  She drew our attention to the extra padding inside the hat, which rests against the forehead. Obviously Lord Roxton takes special care to make sure that his hat has a comfortable fit. Understandably so, considering how long he wears it on some of his hunting trips.

Our intrepid journalist Catseye has promised to do a return trip to the Plateau to get more photos from the Zanga dry cleaner. She recklessly risks her life for a scoop. We like that type of reporter!
