This site is dedicated to a group of explorers and an untamed
beauty who are fighting for survival on a remote South American Plateau. Their fight for survival never prevents them from
looking good and I want to celebrate their fashion sense and good judgement in matters of clothes, hair and make-up.
Visitors beware! Not all is stylish
on the Plateau and I will not hesitate to point out fashion atrocities and warn young, impressionable minds about the dangers
of latex outfits and too much eye shadow.
This site would not be possible without the inspiration I received
on The Lost World Official Board, which provided me with many insights into the mysteries of the Plateau. I'm
also indebted to all the creative people who are masters in providing me with pictorial proof of fashion triumphs and
disasters.
November 23, 2005: We're happy to announce that a new correspondent has joined us. Stdwynwen nabbed
a wonderful exclusive, an interview with Comtesse Ariane, in which the mistress of the haunted Castle shares how she turned the men into her life into fashion icons. We're
sure that this isn't the last we've heard from this promising new reporter. She has the qualities that we love in our contributors
- writing talent and a relentless will to do anything to get a story.
October 7, 2005: A legendary Fashion Plateau contributor steps back into the action and reflects about
Miss Krux's borrowed outfits. LOC190 about the importance of the color red and rustling chic.
September 22, 2005: A new day, a new addition to our column about Miss Krux's borrowed outfits. DNash weighs in and praises German tailoring.
September 20, 2005: Two more fashion opinions about Miss Krux's borrowed outfits have been added. Insightful reader comments that will please everyone.
September 13, 2005: Our readers are quick to respond. A first fashion opinion is already published
in our new You'll be the Judge! section. Keep it coming, dear readers!
September 12, 2005: Finally a new opportunity for reader participation! Our popular column You'll be the
Judge! has been updated and asks a pertinent question about Marguerite's 'borrowed' outfits. Which one is your favorite, dear reader?
August 26, 2005:
A herculean task is finished. Today we finalized the move of the Fashion Plateau to our new site. Thanks
to our use of magic emeralds and an army of avatars we can now be sure that no shifting planes of reality will spoil
your excursions to the Fashion Plateau. At least that's what we hope. Enjoy the new navigation, the larger font
which increases readability and of course our new tendency to use really large photos to document pertinent fashion observations.
And don't forget - we encourage active participation of our readers! Constructive criticism, bitchy comments, and the occasional
fashion hissy fit, we'll publish it all.
August 19, 2005:
Yes, it took us more than a year to update our site. A scandal? No doubt. Cruel neglect? Possibly.
Torture for our dedicated fans? Most certainly. But the drought is over. The Fashion Plateau is back with a vengeance.
We obtained all the remaining pages of Lord Roxton's Secret Diary. Astonishing revelations galore! These documents alone should keep our readers busy for a while.
Although it's painful to admit, we have to say that not all is well yet at the Fashion Plateau. Readers
will sometimes feel as if they are tossed around shifting planes of realities. Links on the new site will take them back to
the old site. Different navigation! Sometimes even different photo material!
No, we're not trying to confuse our dear readers. It just takes a lot of time to recreate the most exciting website
that deals with fashion on the Plateau. And time is pretty much the only thing we don't have in abundance. But don't
despair. Or get annoyed. Just give us a few more weeks and we'll reach the lofty level of perfection you've come
to expect from us. Until then just remember to refresh your browser once in a while to get back to the latest
and greatest Fashion Plateau starting page.

Fashion advice for Lost World travelers:
When going on an expedition to South America, leave your dresses at home and pack
clothes that are easy to clean and can be combined in multiple ways. Choose fabrics that can also be used as bandages in emergencies.
Beware of fabrics that shrink when coming in contact with water!
