Challenger's Hair

Professor Challenger is blessed with two major style winners - red hair and natural curls. His hairdo has evolved from a fairly short cut to a veritable mane. Some style arbiters - well, primarily Mr. Ramone - have critized him for his ever growing curls, but we find the style both asthetically pleasing and appropriate for a scientist. We only hope that he will never stoop to wearing a ponytail. That is a style which is inexorably linked to aging agents and business managers in LA.

An extreme emergency-Challenger wears a ponytail

We hope he refrains from making this his regular style

Since he came to the Plateau George Edward Challenger has been freed from the confines of academic society and led a life that is devoted to academic and follical freedom.

An eye-catching style

Just like his mind is free to develop new theories without any naysayers present, his red curls have also found freedom from stylists and barbers alike. We asked Professor Challenger why he decided to let his hair grow. Here's his answer:
George Edward Challenger: "Young lady, I'm a scientist, do you really think I have time to visit a barber when the mysteries of the Plateau need to be unravelled? The occasional explosion in my laboratory takes care of overlong hair."

It's getting longer - but it's NOT a mullet

A style all his own

We're not quite sure whether we agree with this rather drastic approach to hair cuts, but we have to admit that Professor Challenger's hair looks very healthy and shiny.

What really matters in the Lost World - all about clothes, hair and make-up
