This demon replacing Marguerite? |
|
She can't even seduce a guy! Must be the dress... |
A quick recap of the adventure: three demons replaced Roxton, Challenger and Marguerite,
when they made a little trip to a place where Roxton and Marguerite were nearly killed a year ago. No, not all their
plans are really reconcilable with a sound mind.
Finn fights a life and death battle with the evil imposters, because she's convinced
that one of them is responsible for the end of the world as she knew it. She might be right or she might have followed
in her mentor's footsteps and taken one sip too many from Challenger's mult-colored experiments. When the demons take
over the treehouse, the female demon decides to change out of Marguerite's chic safari look into a dress no one has ever seen
before. Why? How? We can only speculate.
Where did the dress come from? Did Marguerite bring it to the plateau in her surprisingly
spacious, but lightweight travel trunk? Or did it belong to Veronica's mother? Or are the rumors true that the Layton
expedition had a certain expedition member called Jim, whose obsession with knives and guns masked a deep-rooted
passion for cross-dressing? The few facts we know were rather inconclusive and led to lengthy discussions.
The dress in question made only a one-time appearance. It hasn't been seen
before or after this adventure. Same goes for the accessories. Why?
And let's look at the garment itself. What is it really? A
dress? A night gown? The demon uses it in a futile attempt at seduction. Is it the kind of dress that Marguerite would wear? Or
could it be a remnant of that unholy visitor that wreaked so much havoc? Has Danielle the Voodoo Queen, forever banished to
the Fashion Atrocities, left a garment at the Treehouse? The fabric, the cut, the color scheme exude
a cheapness and sleaziness that is very reminiscent of this infamous jungle tart.
After much discussion the editorial staff of the Fashion Plateau agreed
that all facts point to this theory. The garment non grata is shunned and despised at the Treehouse and only a deluded demon
would wear it.
